Blue Sky Forest, Widdrington

The slope proposed for Widdrington is almost at the feasibility study stage and has been given the working title of 'Blue Sky Forest'.

The Centre would be set inside what is believed to be the biggest void in UK, if not Europe. The surrounding area, which would make up the Forest, would contain other activities and extends to about 20 sq. miles.

Real snow slopes would be housed inside the massive cavity of the Stobswood site, which is 200-metres deep, along with swimming pool, shops, restaurants and accommodation.

We have all the recent news on this slope here.
