Chill Factore

Manchester’s Chill Factore brings the complete Alpine ski village experience to the UK for the first time. Situated off junction 10 of the M60, next to the Trafford Centre, there’s plenty of free parking available and entry to the Alpine village is free.

At 180 metres long, Chill Factore still boasts the longest real snow indoor slope in the country. Perfect for proficient skiers and boarders to get some practice in, the indoor slope will definitely get you warmed up, with year-round perfect snow conditions.

Prices

1.5hr Lift Pass = from £20 for adults & £15 for Juniors / 90minutes
Taster Lesson = from £25 for adults & £20 for Juniors / 50minutes with an instructor
Tube & Luging = £13 for adults and juniors / 45minutes
Snowplay = £6 per child plus £1 for supervising adult / 30minutes
Climbing = from £10 for juniors or adults / 20 minutes
Clothing hire = £5 for jacket and trousers
Snow Essentials = £3 for glove, £3 for hats & £4 for socks

Lessons

For absolute beginners, out-of-practice skiers and those who want to improve their technique, friendly, professional instructors are on hand to give an introduction to skiing or snowboarding on the dedicated nursery slope.

Lessons run from 8.30am until 10pm every day.

Ski or snowboard taster lessons cost as little as £19 for adults and £14 for juniors, and you can learn in a day with an intensive Beginners Course from £130 for adults and £120 for juniors.

Expert instruction is available for those who want to develop their technique and style, with Parallel Development sessions, High Speed Carving and Mogul Clinics on offer for skiers and Park and Ride and specialist coaching sessions for snowboarders. Private lessons can also be arranged.

Food/Drink

Off the slopes, you can treat yourself to a bite to eat at Nando’s or Chiquito, or soak up the après-ski atmosphere of the Eiger or Mont Blanc restaurants. Wetherspoons’ Castle in the Air is the ideal place to stop for a meal or drink and Chilli’s Sports Bar offers everything from daytime leisurely meals to cosy slope-side relaxation and cool club nights.

You can pop in for a quick drink in the slope-side Costa coffee shop, quench your thirst with a refreshing smoothie at Boost Juice bar, or treat the kids to an award-winning Frederick’s Ice Cream.

Other Facilities

There’s pure fun too, whizzing down one of the slopes in snow tubes, enjoying a thrill-seeking experience on the ice luge slide or exploring the children’s snowplay area. There’s even a climbing wall to tackle in the Alpine village.
