The Ackers

The Ackers is a non profit charity (Reg No. 1107240) run for the benefit of the community. The Ackers has 3 floodlit synthetic bristle matting slopes available for use throughout the year. The main slope is approx. 100m long and incorporates a permanent ramp jump area and mobile rails, ideal for those wishing to practice or improve their techniques. There are also 3 x 30m nursery slopes. One nursery slope is dedicated solely to snowboard lessons and the other two are used for starter ski lessons and tobogganing.

Recreational Snowboarding is available at all times during opening hours and snowboard lessons are available during evenings and weekends.
