The men behind Tamworth SnowDome
Posted Friday 27th January 2012, 11:21 am by Dunx
There's a great piece in ThisIsTamworth about the history of Tamworth SnowDome and the men behind it. It's a good read. SCUK have been covering the SnowDdome since back in 1995 (SCUK news item number 1) so we've followed the ups and ups of the business for a long time.

They've also just launched their Saturday Shred School, which begins tomorrow.

On a personal note, I've never had a bad night's riding at the SnowDome and enjoy it every time I go there. You know the management really care and they pretty much fund SCUK's Summer Bash too (a skip, Portaloo® and the goodwill of local farmers do not come cheap). All round good place, run by good people. We salute you SnowDome!

Who's The Daddy returns to SnowDome for 7th year
Posted Wednesday 16th November 2011, 9:58 pm by Dunx
Back for its 7th year, ‘Who’s the Daddy’ returns to the SnowDome on Saturday 26th November for a night of mammoth prizes, monster mayhem and beastie battles… let the clash commence!

DOUBLE DADDY JAM TO WIN A HOLIDAY / TOMBSTONE FINALE WITH 6 MONTHS FREE RIDING UP FOR GRABS / MC TIM SANDY / DJ JAMIE WEST / HUGE PRIZES

Skier or snowboarder… we really don’t care, but the person who can claw his way to the top and become The Daddy will gain the respect of his fellow riders and reign supreme with the ultimate prize… THE DADDY PASS… 6 MONTHS FREE RIDING AT THE SNOWDOME!

Featuring the 8ft Tombstone above the quarter pipe and a slope bursting with metal, the hill will be set for a grisly battle. The valiant Tim Sandy will be on the mic hosting the evening, plus live half-time entertainment with the young Jamie West spinning the decks and an open floor for up and coming bboys. Masses of prizes including two holidays to Andorra complete with 4 star accommodation and lift passes, plus stashes of giveaways for superhuman contenders and feisty spectators alike, all ages welcome.

So that leaves one thing to ask yourself… are you ready to struggle against all odds to be King Kong of the Hill… or will it be an electric blanket and a bed time story?

See you there!

Saturday 26th November 2011 10pm-1.30am
£35 adults (£24.50 members)
£24 juniors (£16.80 members)

Pre-booking recommended at snowdome.co.uk or by calling 08448 000011

The SnowDome would like to thank all the event sponsors for their donations of fantastic prizes:
