DS has contact Capital and Regional Properties who tell him that the Xscape slope planned for Glasgow is being progressed. It is hoped that work on site will start in spring 2004 and will take about 18 months to complete. The slope should be open some time in early 2005.

We've just seen a report that indicates that the Sxcape Braehead slope near Glasgow, Scotland should open in 2005. That's the first time I think we've seen an opening date. Construction should begin this year.
Xscape are looking for a tenant for the ground floor of the planned development in Glasgow. They want to be able to develop a luxury cinema within the building, with big comfy chairs, but they are still searching for somebody to operate the cinema.

Some people just think we make this stuff up. Perhaps we do. A reader has reported that he has heard from several different sources that an indoor slope is proposed for the Glasgow area. This is the second slope we know about for Scotland, the other being the West Calder slope.
