Braehead Xscape will open on 6th April 2006, bringing a third Xscape and fourth indoor slope to the UK. What we're not 100% sure about is whether it will be open to the public on that day.

DS has contact Capital and Regional Properties who tell him that the Xscape slope planned for Glasgow is being progressed. It is hoped that work on site will start in spring 2004 and will take about 18 months to complete. The slope should be open some time in early 2005.

The planned Braehead Xscape is being rolled out in a joint venture with Pricoa, the American insurance group. They are still in talks to acquire the site at Braehead, Glasgow.

We've just seen a report that indicates that the Sxcape Braehead slope near Glasgow, Scotland should open in 2005. That's the first time I think we've seen an opening date. Construction should begin this year.

Xscape are looking for a tenant for the ground floor of the planned development in Glasgow. They want to be able to develop a luxury cinema within the building, with big comfy chairs, but they are still searching for somebody to operate the cinema.

An official/public announcement about the Glasgow/Braehead Xscape development is expected this week. We have no idea of the content of the announcement, but thought we'd whet your appetite anyway.

Some people just think we make this stuff up. Perhaps we do. A reader has reported that he has heard from several different sources that an indoor slope is proposed for the Glasgow area. This is the second slope we know about for Scotland, the other being the West Calder slope.
