Although the developers don't have any information for us, they have been in contact. They realise it's dragging on, but it is still moving forwards. As soon as they have a re-start date for construction they will let us know. They haven't forgotten about us all.

We're getting several emails every day asking about the current state of the London Snow World development in Beckton, London. At the current time the project remains stalled, but developers have said they should have some good news for us very soon, probably this month.

JB has got some more pictures of the construction of the London Snow World. There's lots of concrete terraces now in place and considerable piling going on which will form the foundations of the actual slope.

We've been contacted by the developers at the London Snow World, who say that things are progressing. Ther are trying for a late November opening, but construction being what is we, cannot guarantee it. We'll keep you informed.

The original Beckton Alps dry slope was built on the spoils of one of the largest gasworks in Europe. Construction of the London Snow World is now underway and we have some fine shots of the site and the workmen in their protective boiler suits courtesy of JB, our man in the field.

The London SnowDome is now the London Snow World and was officially launched at the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show on Friday 26th October.The slope should be open by Autumn 2002, will be 200m long, 30m wide at the top and 60m wide at the bottom with no pillars.
