Summer will be sizzling at Xscape, with the biggest, hottest, coolest line up of events ever. Action and entertainment includes Neilson’s Skier/Boarder/Blader Cross Race at Snozone on 8 June (Ed. You missed that then); adrenalin rides and jump demos on the sun-soaked Xscape Piazza; Snozone’s Big Air Brit Games on 13 July; and the UK’s first Indoor Sledging Championships on 17 August - literally something for everyone.

The summer action kicks off with the launch of the totally tropical Blackthorn Beach Bar on 1 June. The bar is sponsored by Blackthorn, already strong supporters of beach sports. Located in Snozone and directly overlooking the action on the slope, this brand new tropical playground offers inspiration to adrenalin-seeking city dwellers who dream of sun, snow and surf.

It’s gonna' be hot, hot, hot, on Saturday 1 June at the official opening of the Blackthorn Beach Bar. Xscape and Blackthorn warmly welcome all beach bums to join them between 7pm and 9pm for fun in the sun. Each visitor will receive a traditional Hawaiian garland and a complimentary Blackthorn cocktail. Special performances by Calypso and steel bands will set Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts swaying.
