SNO!zone Castleford is set to give visitors the chance to try snowsports for less with its Beginner Blowout weekend.

Between 11th and 12th September, the indoor real snow centre in Castleford will be running its Beginner Blowout, offering new ‘SNO!bies’ a chance to get on the slopes for less, with new one and a half hour level 1 lessons.

Kids and adults can learn new skills ahead of the new snowsports season with the beginner level one session in snowboarding or skiing.

The tuitions will introduce visitors to the equipment and the real snow slopes, and teach skiing essentials including basic stance, movement and speed control.

SNO!zone qualified instructors will be on hand all weekend to give advice and tips to budding skiers or snowboarders.

Sarah Porteus, SNO!zone head of marketing, said: “We want to get people more active with our Beginner Blowout weekend and to also prove that the weather is no barrier to fun in the snow at SNO!zone.

“We’ve loaded one weekend with stacks of our superb introductory lessons to give as many people as possible the chance to give snowsports a go! All visitors will get the chance to learn about a new sport from our qualified instructors on our real snow slopes whilst keeping fit.

“We’re really looking forward to this weekend, getting people enthusiastic about the sport and you never know, maybe we’ll spot some natural snowsports talent for future Winter Olympics!”

SNO!zone is 10 years old this September and to celebrate it is bursting with birthday offers including beginner and advanced level lessons for just £10*, recreational time on its main slope for £10 per hour*, and family sledging or ice sliding priced at £10 for an adult and child.
