Alain Baxter will be the subject of a half-hour programme tonight (30 April) on BBC1 Scotland at 10.35pm. Frontline Scotland will investigate if wether or not he has been the victim of an outdated drugs policy. As Baxter prepares for his appeal you can support him by making a donation to the Alan Baxter Medal Appeal Fund. Set up by the British Ski Federation, they believe that Alain won his bronze medal on merit and that he has a good case when he goes to the Court Of Arbitration for Sport, because he took a harmless nasal decongestant that did not contain any active ingredients. They say that he was disqualified because the IOC refused him a second test to prove that he did not take a stimulant. To make a donation help Baxter fight for his medal Click Here. Alternatively you can send your donations to the StockShot Adventure Sports Library who will send you a laminated A5 card which says "Alain Baxter is innocent". All donations go directly to the British Ski Federation Fund and should be a minimum of three pounds sterling. Contact Bridget Clyde on 0131 5576688 or send your donation directly to: 2b St Vincent Street, Edinburgh, EH3 6SH [This information was taken from ifyouski's newsletter - but it's all in a good cause right?] |
