A casual enquirer has been told by Healthland that the Snozone will open midweek, to avoid the place being mobbed. As suspected the date of the 22nd now seems unlikely and dates of the 27th September and 4th October are being banded around. Remember that these dates are rumours and until the slope is ready Healthland will not be announcing an official opening date.

Our guess is that we're looking towards a mid-October opening.

For the first three days of this week the slope is in full-on-blizzard mode, in an attempt to get the snow to the required depth. It does make you wonder how they hope to maintain the depth once people start to use the slope.
