You may have heard rumours that your favourite UK Snowboard Magazine is done. No such luck.
Snowboarding hasn't just changed the face of the mountains in the space of a few years, it's the fastest-moving snowsport with the youngest participants by a mile. Snowboards, holidays and gear are bought online in numbers we'd have laughed at just two years ago. The UK scene thrives in huge numbers, way bigger than all the mag sales combined.
The result is that Document 62 will be the last printed issue of Document Snowboard (on sale January 18).
However, like many creative projects, it is high time that Document made a stand on the internet. Our presence there, our interactivity and moving image efforts have not been up to standard over the last few years and you can expect incredible things over the next year.
And if anyone is worried they won’t be able to read it on the crapper, just get a massive plasma screen in the lounge and leave the door open.
But if that’s just not possible, or you don’t want to blow your carbon footprint on a TV, then Fall-Line magazine will be running a host of snowboard content; epic images, wild stories, useful technique and of course an overview of what’s kicking in the UK.
Don’t turn the lights out on Document. Unless you want to see the TV more clearly.
