TSA's own 09/10 Signal in store
Posted Tuesday 31st March 2009, 9:00 am by Dunx

The 08/09 snowboard season might be drawing to a close in the UK however the Signal crew are so stoked about their new snowboard the Omni that they have only gone and produced a limited preseason run.

Normally you wouldn’t be able to get you filthy mitts on this kit till next winter. Luckily the Snowboard Asylum will exclusively stock just 50 Omni’s (UK special edition red and black topsheet/base) over the summer.

Limited Signal Omni in-store now

So what is all the fuss about?

“The Omni is all things to all mountain riders! Rocker and camber blended together create Wavelength technology, a Signal exclusive. You will never bury your nose in powder again!

The Omni has camber between your feet and rocker from your feet out to the tip and tail. The rocker keeps your nose up in powder while the camber provides edge control while you carve. The two meet at a transition point, providing an additional contact point that engages even before the edge.

The fact that the rocker starts at your bindings means that you have less surface area on the snow and, therefore, a faster board! The Omni is both a directional and a twin board. It’s directional in the sense that the nose is longer than the tail. And it’s twin in the sense that the tip and tail widths are identical as well as the fact that the radial sidecut meets at the centre of the board.

Available in 156, 159 and 162, built with a full-length poplar core, Triaxial glass on both the top and bottom, durasurf sintered base material, matte urethane 4160 tops and carbon torsion bars.”

So if you want to ride one of the most exciting boards to come out for 09/10 before anyone else get to the TSA and get an Omni. Available in-store and online for £320.00
