The PR company for Xscape has told The Boarder that the Snozone in Milton Keynes has not currently got enough snow on it to open. The snow-making process had to be stopped to perform some work on the slope and so the opening is delayed to beyond August. We may be able to get an early look at the slope, but at the current time there is a blizzard, so we won't be able to see very much. As yet there is no date. Healthland also confirm they do not have an opening date for the slope. Varga.Net reports the problem is to do with the snowguns freezing up and having to have some modifications. LV is a local and finding it almost impossible to get any co-operation out of Healthland. He reports rumours of price reductions to complete with the refurbished Tamworth Snowdome with the possibility of the second hour for £5 - this would be a huge bonus. You may also have noticed that the new Xscape website has gone and been replaced with the old one. No idea why. There is no news on the Frequent Visitor Membership scheme and it seems that the information is still being printed. Nobody will give us any figures, despite assurances of people phoning me back with the information on at least two occasions. Must be top secret stuff. We wait on... |
