Three years after it was first envisaged by lift operator, the Compagnie du Mont Blanc, a new 11 million Euro gondola lift will open this winter to serve the south-facing Brevent-Flegere ski area. The new new Planpraz lift is largely made up of panoramic windowed gondolas, designed to provide a comfortable ride up for eight seated passengers per cabin in the winter, and a much quicker ascent for ten standing passengers during the ski season. Uplift capacity will increase dramatically from 1350 people per hour from the existing lift to 3000 people per hour on the new lift. |
