The British Olympic Association (BOA) is pleased to announce that the following women’s snowboard athlete has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, which begin on February 8. Women’s Snowboard
Simon Clegg, Chief Executive of the BOA and Team GB’s Chef de Mission for the Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games, said: “Lesley’s encouraging results over the last couple of seasons should certainly place her in the medal zone in Salt Lake City. This exciting and dynamic sport, making only its second appearance in the Olympic programme, continues to capture the imagination of young winter sports enthusiasts. We wish Lesley well with her final preparations ahead of the Games.” Fiona McNeilly, Operations Director of the British Ski and Snowboard Federation (BSSF), said: “Lesley has been one of our most consistent performers over the past two seasons with two world cup podium finishes.
