As expected, the construction of the Hemel Snow Centre is cracking on. Locals are reporting that the recent weather and inevitable mud on site haven't slowed down the work, with two massive diesel winches being used to haul a huge roller up and down the slope to compact foundations when the trucks couldn't do the work.
Anyway, here's the latest.
The usual shot over the athletics track.
Note the handy sign on the signpost.
From the entrance gate.
You can see the retaining walls for the buildings at the base of the slope in this one and a great "up slope" shot.
The slope on the right being the main slope and the one on the left, the lesson slope.
I bet the locals are chuffed. The first set of cooling fans can be seen in place here.
