![]() Word has reached the makers of "Unsung Heroes-A British Snowboard Movie" at their HQ at Spycamera Films that the quality of the Scottish scene and the standard of it's riding has been sorely unrepresented. Add to that the last winter - described by Jamie Blair (owner of Clan in Glasgow and long time snowboarder) as "the best season in 10 years" - and the forthcoming winter, and you have a perfect opportunity to right a major wrong! We request, no... we implore you to dig out those camcorders and videotapes and send in your footage from last season and the coming season. It will be reviewed, compiled and edited into an exclusively Scottish section in our next motion picture project. It will be a section to make your chest fill with pride while raising two fingers to the much over-hyped and over-there ideal of snowboarding. It will be a section that will defy anyone to snub the camaraderie and warmth of Glenshee, Glencoe, The Lecht et al over the mink and champagne of the French Alps. But, above all, it will be a section that can only happen through your endeavours and with your co-operation. All contributions should be: -well shot and composed. -either rad , amazing, funny and worthy of a wider audience. -submitted on the original master tape or 1st generation copy on either MiniDV, DV, Hi8 or VHS. Please: No "sponsor me" tapes or "You’ve Been Framed" contenders. Your incentive? The Glory for you and your clansmen. All contributors to the final edit will receive a copy of the finished film and an invite to the premiere. We are also in talks with sponsors to try and secure kit/product/stuff for such contributors. For further information please email Ed or call him on 01905 763153. |
