![]() ![]() Spycamera films, the makers of the Union Award nominated "Unsung Heroes - A British Snowboard Movie", are pleased to announce that their latest film project has left the hangar. Gaining altitude and firing on all cylinders, it’s on course for the wild blue yonder and dazzling white slopes of the European Continent. Their mission: to film the aeronautical displays of some of the finest snowboarding performance artists in the world today; a journey, which by turns, will be challenging, perilous and pioneering. So it is with great jubilation and appreciation that we are able to proclaim the patronage of the Helly Hansen company in this extraordinary endeavour. Initial filming sorties took place this summer with the Kommunity summercamp in Les 2 Alpes and SPC55 summercamp in Hintertux. Further material is constantly being gathered by other intrepid adventurers for inclusion in the film. So far Chris Higham has winged in with contributions from New Zealand, Tom Copsey has brought action from the British Snowboard Champs, Mike Weyerhaeuser has posted weird nocturnal despatches from the Chamonix valley floor and Simon Pardoe has recorded evidence of the high altitude powder of the Grand Montets. Filming will continue throughout this coming winter and will be co-ordinated from a base in Chamonix, France. Once the mammoth task of filming has been completed, operations will relocate back to the hangar at a secret location where the compiling and editing will commence in earnest. The completed film’s launch and maiden voyage is scheduled for the Autumn 2002. So, ladies & gentlemen, we invite you to cast your gaze to the heavens and remember: Watch the Skies! |
