Lesley McKenna, Britain's No 1 Half-Pipe specialist showed she was back to top form today, when she took 5th place at the opening FIS World Cup today in the Half-pipe discipline in Tignes, France.
I'm really pleased, it's a great start to the season and I really couldn't ask for a better one. However, I wasn't competing at 100 % and feel I can still give a lot more.
Training had been hampered due to poor snow conditions in most European resorts and in the States. However, conditions were ideal today with clear skies and hard snow. A strong field, McKenna fought off tight competition from many of the top World Cup riders.
She is now looking forward to the next meeting at Whistler, (CAN) 8th December where she will strive for an even higher placing.
