Anybody who rides at Tamworth SnowDome will know or at least have seen Steve Owen.

Steve won the Wanaka-Fest Street Jam competition on 18th September and we've just got some footage (5mb AVI, so please right click and Save As...) of his winning run taken by Rich Cook.

However, 11 days after this Steve was at the public hospital in Duneden with a broken femur having been struck from behind by another snowboarder who disappeared. We saw him at Tamworth recently watching the Burton Black Metal and at least he's off his crutches, although the dubious full ginger beard does make him a little unrecognisable (and perhaps a bit scary for young children).

So, nuff respect for the win and get well soon from all here at SCUK.
