Konrad Bartelski, Britain's highest achieving World Cup downhill racer, continues his support for the proposed £300m SnOasis Winter Sports Development to be built in Suffolk, by texting the campaign hotline.
Bartelski now Head of in-house Production at ESPN Classic Sport and Chairman of Selectors for the Snowsport GB Alpine Ski Team has already voiced his support for the project which is to be the biggest indoor ski slope in the world. "I believe SnOasis would be a major asset for the UK both in terms of sporting excellence but also as an international tourism destination. Such an exciting project can only help increase the appeal of skiing and other winter sports", he said.
Bartelski added: "The project, which is currently at a crucial stage in the planning procedure, needs as much support as possible and it would be great if we could get a significant number of people texting in."
The text campaign has been launched to tap into the vast, enthusiastic support for the development, and there has already been a fantastic response to the campaign with people texting in from all over the country. It is hoped that if enough people text in, the planning committee cannot ignore the overwhelming public support for SnOasis.
SnOasis is a development to create the biggest indoor ski slope in the world in Great Blakenham, Suffolk. There will also be water sports, health and fitness centres, restaurants, bars, casinos, nightclubs, cinemas, and many other sports. The destination will also provide accommodation with 350 self catering chalets, a 350 room 4-star hotel and a 200 bed hostel.
