Snowboard Club UK birthday bash takes on Transfer Movie premiere. Friday the 14th October needs to be marked in every snowboard lover’s diary as the success from last year is back. Welcome to My Place for the party of the year as the Snowboard Club UK (SCUK) celebrates its first year as Europe’s leading snowboard site and ChunkyKnit Production premieres their new film - Transfer. Bringing together the hottest snowboard property in the UK with the hottest board babes on the planet and a rocking line up of DJs the chemistry is expected to reach melting point and the atmosphere to be electrifying. To step things up this year the ChunkyKnit / SCUK Party is the official Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show Friday night party, in association with XFM. DJs extraordinaire from XFM will mix it up with legends from the snowboard scene. First out to warm up the crowd and get hips swaying is smooth groove’ster TonyB, of Homegrown fame. Following suit to heat up the floor is DJ Marsha from XFM, laying down her eclectic blend of indie rock, vintage dance and raw Hip Hop. Then bringing the party to boiling point, Funk Royale/ Vans DJs Christian Stevenson and Sneaker will work their magic on the snowboard glitterati with a wild mix of old skool rock, Motown, funk and Hip Hop. Held at My Place bar and club in Earl’s Court, the party will kick off at 9 pm and rock on until 2 am. Party only tickets are £8, but SCUK members only pay £7. Last year tickets went fast so book now at SCUK to avoid disappointment! Daily Mail Ski Show also offers a ski show/party combo price for £12 – entry to the show after 6pm. Book at www.dailymailskishow.co.uk. All ticket proceeds will go to the GB Snowboard Team. Snowboard Club UK, the rider’s network, is Europe’s biggest snowboard club offering discounts for travel, accommodation, equipment and much more. The SCUK insurance is made for snowboarders by snowboarders, including competition and off piste cover, as well as single item cover up to £800. The website offers everything from daily news to a slope directory, from a UK event calendar to FAQs and much more besides. Transfer is the follow-up to DropStitch, last year's highly successful all-girl snowboard film from ChunkyKnit Productions. The film features a cast of top international female snowboarders and was filmed all over the world from Japan to Europe to North America. Many of the girls from Transfer will be at the party including Lesley McKenna, Jenny Jones, Kjersti Buaas, Cheryl Maas, Stine Brun Kjeldaas, Lisa Filzmoser and Tina Birbaum to name a few! To see clips of the new film check out our webwheel on transfer.chunkyknit.com. We'll be seeing you there. ![]() |
