A website has appeared for the Beckton indoor slope development. Although it only contains an artist's impression of the slope, one interesting feature is an external funicular railway up the side of the building. This is something we hadn't heard of before and we'll try to chase up any more information they're willing to release. The opening is still scheduled for 2002.

They also say that there'll be huge snowboard jam sessions, running from 7pm 'til way into the night, with a huge sound system. Skiers also get a go with the slalom poles out and timed runs.
