As we've mentioned before, last year saw the opening of the AlpinCenter in Bottrop, Germany. There's nothing funny about Bottrop. "We have a really long one in Bottrop" and no doubt there's a few of you out there would love to visit Bottrop (you can get ointment from the chemist), for it has the world's longest indoor slope. It's cheap too and we certainly hope that the UK indoor scene may one day head in this direction - a slope, just a bloody big slope, no cinemas, no massive projects and delays, just lots of snow on a slope; like in the mountains, you know? Waxing there... Anyway AS took a few pictures when he recently visited and here they are in all their glory. There's a few more pictures of Bottrop on our April Fool Snowdon page.
