The glacier ski lifts on the Sarenne Glacier above Alpe d’Huez, France, will operate for just four weeks this summer between July 2nd and 30th. However, the resort is offering what is probably the highest value summer skiing and boarding ever with the VISALP pass costing from a maximum of 11 Euros a day for a three day pass (33€) to only 7 Euros a day for stays of 15 days and longer. On the Sarenne glacier there are almost 50 hectares of glacier skiing with a 600m vertical and 10km of slopes served by two cable-cars. A snow park as well as a permanent a cross country ski track will be created if snow cover is adequate. The breathtaking view is ranked three star in the Michelin Guide to Breathtaking Views. The VISALP pass gives admission to all the ski as well as the summer sled up to 12.30 daily, mini-golf, both the indoor and the outdoor swimming pools, outdoor ice rink, tennis courts till 4 pm, Museum of Huez and Oisans, concerts every Thursday at the Notre-Dame des Neiges Centre (600 places), the Sports Centre with indoor climbing wall, golf practice, body building, archery, squash/tennis (10am-4pm), table tennis, badminton, collective sports, combat sports, beach volleyball and more.
