Some friends and I in Brighton went to watch "Riding Giants" a film about the history of surfing giant waves. The film is by the same people that did "Dog Town and Z Boys" so you get an idea of what it's like.

Footage from the 50's is incredible, guys riding 40ft faces on tree trunks upto modern day riding with Laird Hamilton riding Jaws, Teahupo etc.

Quite possibly some of the best slams you'll ever see! Check it out if you get the chance...
