City ski enthusiasts are being targeted by new flights from London City Airport to Geneva. Swiss International Air Lines is to run four flights a day from the Docklands airport from October 31. The airline believes the route will be attractive to City workers wanting a break on the slopes. UK, Ireland and Nordics general manager Sarah Built said: "The weekend skier can leave their office on Friday evening with our last flight out and can return on Monday morning straight to the office. Geneva is ideally located for the resorts of Crans Montana, Verbier, Zermatt and Saas Fee." Swiss will continue to offer a code share service with British Airways from Heathrow to Geneva. The London City connection is in addition to flights from the airport to Basel and Zurich. [From TravelMole] |
