Posted Monday 23rd April 2001, 9:46 pm by Dunx
Saturday 28th April will see the Finale of the Salomon Blader X Series at Snozone. Combining the fun of snowblading - jumps and tricks - with the thrill of a full body contact competition and all you bladers are invited to join in the fun.

Registration on the day is between 4pm and 6pm in the Sno Café and the warm up session runs between 6pm and 7pm. The competition starts at 7pm.

The Press Release Reads:
From the pistes of Colorado to the Cairngorm slopes, snowblading continues to grow in popularity with wintersports enthusiasts. The ultimate snow accessory, snowblades are about one thing - fun!

In Blader X, the rules are there are no rules! Four entrants start at the top of the slope and race their way down the course containing jumps and moguls to cross the line as quickly as possible.

Competitors are categorised according to age and ability so whether you’re a novice or supreme snowblader, you're in with a chance. And even if you're not planning on entering, why not pop along and enjoy the action:

  • demos from the Salomon National Snowblading Team
  • novice, junior and pro competitions
  • great prizes including Salomon Snowblades, Bags, Adidas Eyewear, Motorola handsets, Biobas Active Bodycare Sets
  • pumping sound systems
  • big air competition
  • the Big Hair party (9pm onwards) with live band & prizes for the biggest wigs.

The entry fee of £25 includes 3hrs recreational slope time, competition time, equipment hire and a Salomon t-shirt.
