The Royal Geographical Society are holding a special screening of ’Inside Avalanches’ on the Tuesday 24th April 2001 at 7pm.
"The avalanche is still one of the most frightening and destructive forces in nature, constantly threatening whole communities and those lured to mountainous extremities.
"Scientists have stepped up the pace in avalanche research and new technologies have been created that unravel the complex dynamics of violent snow.
