TheBoarder has been nominated for a 2004 ‘Snow Award’ in the ‘Best Winter Website’ category. We're pretty chuffed about this as the awards aim to give the British Snowsport public an opportunity to vote for companies, brands and services in over 30 categories it is felt represent this industry.

Whilst we've never really considered TheBoarder to be part of the UK snowsports industry, it's great to be nominated. What's more, we think we can win, but that's down to you. We're up against some stiff competition from holiday and ski websites, but we're one of only two snowboarding sites nominated so far along with Powderroom.net. Unlike all the other nominees, both TheBoarder and Powderroom are each run by one person in their spare time - me here and Lucie there.

The voting will continue right up until October, but an early lead would make us smile. The awards itself will take place in the late autumn! In December 2003, Alexa.com had TheBoarder as the 4th most visited winter sports site in the world, so we hope we're doing something right.
