I know many people have expressed their frustration of the timing on Channel 4's Skiing on 4 programme. Although it features only a little snowboarding, it does seem that Lesley McKenna's recent successes in the World Cup and the good results of UK skiers such as Chemmy Alcott and Lesley's cousin, Alain Baxter are probably going unnoticed by the general public. Add to that the incredible success of our hopeful Olympians and Team GB in the form of Laura Berry and Tyler Chorlton and it does seems a shame that the rest of the UK are missing out on how well we're doing. If you'd like to wave a placard in the general direction of Channel 4 and perhaps make a difference for next year you can email Dave Kerr or Deborah Poulton to make your point. |
