The winter’s well and truly here and Extreme gets snowbound with all the best action from the biggest Extreme Sports event on the winter calendar: the Winter X games. Held every year in Aspen, Colorado Winter-X features over 350 of the world’s best athletes competing in Snowcross, Moto X, Skiing, Snowboarding and Snowmobiling. Everyday we’ll be featuring classic moments from past winter X games including Kevin Jones landing a clean 900 to win the slopestyle in 2001 and Brian Deegan’s mandatory Suicide to win gold in MotoX in 2002.

Then every night at 10pm the Big Chill presents a top winter action-sports video - featuring the biggest names in Ski and snowboarding, including Terje Haakonsen and Shaun White, as they pull off some unbelievable tricks and jump from death defying heights on nothing more than planks of wood!

Plus every weekend we’re giving you another chance to catch the petrol-fuelled frenzy of the Snowcross world championships (6pm) and there’s also action from the world’s top snowboarders as they compete for a place in the Arctic Challenge on the unique Ticket2Ride tour (10am).

Extreme Events Zone

The Extreme Events Zone brings you epic action from all the most important and exciting extreme sports events from around the globe. The month of January on the events zone brings the premiere of the funky board sports/fashion/music festival, Nokia’s Totally Board, from Sevilla, Spain. Also premiered is the World Heli Challenge, featuring some of the worlds best free-riders take on the steep gradients of New Zealand’s epic mountains. Check it out and loads more:
