A new artificial surface ski slope is nearing completion at Glenmore in Scotland.
The 35m (100 feet) long slope is being built next to the Glenmore Shop, on the access road up to Aviemore ski centre and will be run in conjunction with Aviemore Ski School. A former artificial ski slope in the area at the Aviemore centre had fallen in to disrepair and has now been removed.
The new slope will have a rope tow and a water spray misting system to make it more slippery for users. The owner believes that in poor weather conditions that are common at the nearby Cairngorm mountain (Aviemore) ski area the new slope will be a good place to learn before proceeding on to the mountain.
The slope is due to open in mid-September.
