We thought it only right that we pass on this shocking news to you kids. I know I'm upset about it and felt that the more responsible amongst you with kids of your own might need to make some alternative arrangements.

DRAMATIC UPDATE
Santa has posted a reply on the BBC website saying he is not dead at all. Bugger! I just scoffed the last of the mince pies and carrots too.
