![]() On 17th January 2013, in Morzine and conveniently just before the start of the SCUK Winter Bash, Dunx, ROBster, Pocket and Charlie will be taking on a 150km snowboard team endurance race over two days and two countries, which will include a 10km night hike in snow-shoes. We're doing this because we've not done anything like this before, we think it will be a real physical challenge, we don't want the skiers to have all the fun and most importantly, to raise funds for Snow-Camp, a charity that Snowboard Club UK have been right behind for several years now. All you need to do is sponsor us through Just Giving and don't forget to add Gift Aid! TheSCUKers will be supported by...![]() BAM Bamboo Clothing - www.bambooclothing.co.uk Apple & Kiwi Relentless Energy Drink - www.relentlessenergy.com Snow-Camp is an innovative youth charity that uses a unique combination of skiing, snowboarding and life-skills programmes to support inner-city young people. Through snowsports and life-skills, Snow-Camp programmes enable young people to grow in confidence and self esteem, develop as individuals and make positive choices for their lives. Snow-Camp programmes also enable young people to reflect on the key issues impacting their day to day lives, and help them develop new skills to support their futures – particularly towards careers in the snowsport industry. Snow-Camp has grown steadily from 2003 and now works with at least 400 young people each year across 12 London Boroughs. Their vision is to expand Snow-Camp to other cities across the UK and benefit many more inner-city young people. See the website for more details www.snow-camp.org.uk![]() |
