Glencoe good if you don't mind a hike
Posted Friday 27th April 2012, 7:08 pm by Dunx
Unfortunately, the snow line this week has been just above the rescue shed so although the top 80% of the upper runs are in great shape we have had no new snow at the bottom of the main basin T-bar so we will be unable to officially open for snow sports this weekend.

However, there is a great opportunity for those people who don't mind walking from the top of the cliffy to get in some turns and see some of the MacAvalanche (mad downhill bike race). The cliffy will be open for skiers to access the upper slopes all weekend.

The forecast for Saturday and Sunday is for sunshine and light winds so it could be a cracking weekend to be out in the hills.

Saturday evening is party night in the base station cafe. We expect to have imprompto music and will be open until 10.30pm. This event is open to everyone and if you play an instrument please bring it along as these evenings normally end up with a bit of music and occasionally dancing.
