The TTR 3Star Protest World Rookie Fest 2012 started yesterday with 126 riders from 17 nations standing out as the biggest event of the World Rookie Tour ever. The UK's entrants included Jake Terry, Becky Menday, Ayla Thidling, Nathalie Silkstone and Rowan Coultas.
Despite the wind storm damage of last week, the Mottolino Swatch Snowpark looks in perfect shape thanks to the crew of shapers who spent night and day to create the perfect set up for the crowd of rookies just arrived in Livigno. The 8th edition of Protest World Rookie Fest is starting now with the qualification day at the snowpark and the cable-snow contest with a prize money of 1000 € cash free in the afternoon.
Also the UK's Jake Binnee came second at the TTR 2Star Burton Park Jam in Avoriaz on Saturday in the under 14. This was his first ever European comp, so well done to him too.
Rookie Fest qualification was today and the finals tomorrow.
