We spoke to the receptionist at Hemel Ski Slope today. The slope has been without jumps for ages now because of an issue with the insurance. This has already meant the cancellation of the Hemel Slope Style in May. Apparently everything is sorted now, but anybody using the currently forlorn jumps and rails will have to wear a helmet, which I guess is no bad thing with blood so tricky to get out of modern fabrics. Whether this will revive the scene at Hemel, which was once rather good, only time will reveal.
