Chill Factore freestyle will be every other week
Posted Wednesday 23rd February 2011, 4:19 pm by Dunx
Manchester’s Chill Factore is making a number of changes to its Core freestyle offering, following feedback from regulars at the indoor real snow centre.

From Friday 4 March, Core freestyle nights will be full slope freestyle only sessions held every other Friday. The park – revamped in October with an investment of over £25,000 into the biggest and best freestyle features in the UK – will be out from 7pm to 11pm each Core night.

During the other week, there will be no freestyle.

The decision to hold Core freestyle nights every other week will mean that we can now hold regular full slope freestyle sessions. For those needing a quick freestyle fix, there will be a smaller park on the Wednesday and Thursday before the Friday whole slope freestyle only night.

The monthly Core Airbag Sessions will also return to Chill Factore from Friday 18 March. The session will give freestylers the opportunity to try out some new tricks or to just throw themselves at the airbag for fun. Professional freestyle coaches will also be on hand to assist.

Each Core Airbag Session will be 45 minutes long, with six sessions in total starting at 6.30pm, and will run alongside the regular Core freestyle night.

Morwenna Angove, Chief Executive at Chill Factore, said: “Guest feedback is important to us at Chill Factore and we will always look to make the necessary changes to ensure our regular skiers and snowboarders get the most out of their time on the slope.

“The changes to the Core freestyle nights will give freestyle skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to test out our revamped freestyle park as well as socialising with fellow freestylers. Sessions will be held every other Friday, including the airbag night once a month, and mean that we can focus on providing the best park possible on this full slope freestyle night. We’d urge freestylers to regularly check out www.chillfactore.com for dates, events and other updates.”

Snowboard Club UK would suspect that Chill Factore are about to receive a whole load more feedback from snowboarder and skiers not happy with this new arrangement.

Chill Factore also has a number of exciting freestyle events planned for the next couple of months, with the UK's first ever Snowbombing event scheduled for summer 2011. The legendary week-long event takes place in Austria each year, with skiers and snowboarders flocking to see bands and world-class DJs from around the globe.

The popular Oakley Grom Games will also be returning to Chill Factore on Saturday 28 May, with support from Red Bull who will be offering a DJ for the evening and an après ski party.
