The Grand Opening of the new Blackthorn Beach Bar saw some strange concoctions being dished up to the assembled masses. Blackthorn, white rum and some green stuff a particular favourite.

It's certainly brightened up the place. From inside you're greeted with parrots, palm trees and plenty of shack-like cartoons, but that's pretty much it. There isn't too much in the way of surfboards or any other hardware hanging around and such bits and bobs would certainly flesh out the character of the place (I had an old thruster if they're interested). From slopeside, the palm trees overhanging the windows are clearly visible from the slope and add to the general surreal Snozone experience.
