Snozone Quarter Pipe To Open Friday - UPD

We viewed the huge pile of snow on Friday that will become the Snozone quarter pipe. The plan is to shape the park side of the pipe and then the slope side of the pipe - effectively creating a hip. The pipe is about 3m high and when complete, will have a platform on the top for brave cameramen/women. They will also replace some of the snow with polystyrene blocks to reduce the weight.

The best news is that they've been shaping the pipe over the weekend and although it's not 100% complete, they expect it to be open this Friday. The current box has already been moved down the slope in preparation.

The pictures are from Friday before they started shaping the quarter pipe.
