Im very new in terms of board time, been at it since spring but just pop in about once a month for a solo practice.. I dont have any shorts and really arent bothered, but yes if it bothers you maybe invest. For me, boots have been the best bit of kit so far.. On my 4 lessons i had 4 very different feeling boots, but now have a good consistancy.

Theres a lot of good advice on here too, as i say im a new boarder and must have asked some pretty daft questions on here but generally its a very good forum.
