Possibly that white cars came into fashion around 07/08 here in the UK and people seem to be still sorta following that style 4/5 years on?
I'm just guessing here.. |

bit slow on the uptake nick.
its a white car, with black wheels. both fads, both have lasted quite a while, but fads nonetheless. the skinny pants thing has definitely started to die down a bit now that people have started to realise they look a bit silly really. |

I wouldn't know since i have no interest in cars.
Im not sure how you can say its a fad thats started to slow down since more companies are making them this year and more people wearing them than ever before?
Bit slow on the uptake? |

| Anyone with a penis would look silly in those pants, not just Shaun White. |

Agreed. Is fashion leading Shaun or shaun leading fashion? Obviously some folk will feel it validates their pornstar / russian pimp clothing choices. My personal opinion (note: not up for influencing) is that skinny pants on a snowboard is like big fat ugg boots on a 20 year old girl- if you're skinny legged and blindingly talented (ie the flying tomato tm) then you are allowed, if you are a minger with no talent but a fetish for buying fashion mags touting a dress sense unsuited to your bodyshape (aka talent level) , I reserve the right to shake my head and laugh out loud at you. |

I guess you live buy your own rules? ie...your fat, ugly, sh1t on a snowboard, but at least you dress inconspicuously |

It is a good point - I saw people crusing through the Whistler parks in skintight jeans etc when I was there in 2006 so its not exactly new, just kinda trendy at the mo!
But on the other hand, it is a fact (Whether its a good thing or a bad thing) that generally you will only get very good snowboarders who dress at the extremes of skinnyness or bagginess. I think its just human nature that you won't dress in a way to mark you out from others unless you have the talent to back it up... |

I meant to say skinniness or bagginess.
I would defo laugh at the baggies, although the best thing to laugh at is either camp when they have their trousers halfway down their thighs! Just wait till you watch them try and climb some stairs, then you'll probably wet yourself! |
