Just finished upgrading to iOS5 and no issues whatsoever, even my music was restored, which never used to happen in older versions. Only issue was that I've just had to re-delete all my old emails from the last 4 months.
I like the fact you can now use the volume button as a camera shutter button - much much more sensible - but why can't I put the bloody 'Newstand' app in a folder out of the way, I don't even use it. |

Well iTunes wiped all my apps and photos from the phone whilst updating so not to happy with it at the moment. The only real difference i can see for that 800mb download is the notification thing which was one of the things i was hoping to see implemented.
Other things that I would like to see are a cursor so that I can easily jump to a previous point when writing text, and a force close function so that I can restart an app if it freezes without having to reboot the entire phone.
You do know you can double press home, then press and hold on the multitask bar and kill the app you want?
Similarly press and hold on text and you get a cursor.
+1 for wanting to hide newsstand |

| My brother's been having loads of issues apparently but mine is still absolutely fine - in fact, it's running much better than it was on the previous iOS, so not sure why some people are having problems and others aren't. Strange. |

| If you're having issues with iOS5 then your best bet is to download the ipsw file directly from Apple (http://osxdaily.com/2011/10/12/ios-5-download-available/) and then do a backup of your phone and then restore it through iTunes (right click on the restore button and select the downloaded ipsw file). Once it's done it's thing you can use the backup you made to set everything back how it was and hopefully your problems will be solved. |
