I'm looking for a cheap mid layer fleece. I'm blowing quite a bit on a shell so I need to keep the price of the fleece reasonable, yet still need it to be decent. Anyone got any good suggestions?

I'm a Berghaus man (been using their kit for climbing for 25 years before starting boarding).
You won't find better, but you will find more expensive.
Craghoppers are good value too.
Try TK Maxx at the start of the season.
If you're a lady, check out the Surfanic site.
If you're not worried about labels, Mountain Warehouse is reasonable quality and cheap. (I get a lot of the kids' layers etc. there as they grow out of it so fast).

I wear mountain warehouse stuff as it's cheap (especially as I bought in the sales) and great value for the money. Couple of gillet type things for me as my arms don't get cold.

Thanks guys. Been looking at the Berghaus Spectrum and very nearly took the plunge. I could get one for £36 on Amazon but a few of the reviews said that the quality wasn't up to the usual Berghaus standards so I held back. Can also grab a Craghoppers Base for around £22. Mountain Warehouse dont seem to have much available in my size with full-zip. Anyone got experience with 'Mountain Equiptment' label, in particular this: http://www.webtogs.co.uk/Mountain_Equipment_Mens_Micro_Zip_T_Fleece_100122-28296.html ?
