So got to L2A and after 4-5 hours riding had really bad pain in my left (front) big toe. First time on a mountain and never spent that long in a single go wearing my boots (Burton Hail if anyone cares)
At first i thought i'd just need to carve my toe nail down but it didn't help and the next day was agony.
Weather was crap anyway so didn't really miss much.
Went off and had to rent a pair of boots for the rest of the week.
When they measured me at the rental shop my left was about 29.5 and my right was only a little over 28.
Never noticed a problem wearing normal shoes but i normally wear them loose anyway.
So, anyone else have odd sized feet?
Can anyone recommend a good place to get a new pair of boots? Last pair i got were from TSA
Is it even possible to get hold of individually sized boots? ie a size 11 left and 10.5 right?
Cheers for the help again guys and gals. |

If you get your boots custom heat moulded it should sort the problem out. They heat the inners up and mould them to your foot shape.
I dont think that would work, as its a foot-size issue, not shape.
Your best bet is to get the size 11 pair to fit your biggest foot, then get a custom insole thing made for the other shoe to stop your foot moving around too much/creating other issues.
I know for a fact you can get custom footbed things made as i need to get myself a pair as my arches really ache after a few days of constant riding - it was recommended to me by people on here - so when i buy a pair of boots new ill ask them about it in the shop |

I used to have the same problem, my right foot is bigger than my left,
few things that sorted it for me.
-buy a half size bigger boot if you can
-good socks really help, with comfort and moisture, try TEKO, really comfortable`
and great with sweat, I found that Burton Socks were awful for me.
-if your buying new boots make sure and wear the snowboard socks you plan to wear when you try them on,
-Break in your boots by wearing them round the house to soften them up
-Check your Binding toestrap is centred and not crushing your toes
Ive had a few pairs of boots, Salomon, Burton,Flow, but Im wearing Nike boots
and have never had any pain or discomfort with them,
Hope this helps`

Those sizes make one foot over a whole size bigger!
I was in a chalet with someone who had the same problem. They bought two pairs of boots in different sizes. To get the perfect fit they got different boots (even different colours!).
If you can find someone with the same problem on the opposite feet it wont cost you any more! |

Lucky he didnt have a lop sided skull, i cant imagine gluing two halves of different sized helmets would be very beneficial |

You'd use gaffer tape, obviously. Problem solved! |

| I agree with the consensus - get the boots which fit your bigger foot. Then, for the smaller boot, you can effectively reduce the size by changing the insoles or using specific volume reducers. We have both listed on our website and sell loads when people come for a boot fitting in store. They really work! If all else fails, try two or even 3 socks on your smaller foot. |
