Amazing!! i cant believe i havent spotted this thread before Idea lol.
Maybe my dream of meeting a cute snowboarding blonde girl is more acheivable than i once thought Thumbs Up haha.
So for the record im single, getting a bit bored of it tbh, being in a relationship never hindered my social /snowboarding life as i was always of the opinion that its healthy to do your own thing sometimes.
Anyways, im not a fan of meeting girls through work or friends because in the unfortunate event of things going badly it makes for a VERY awkward and difficult life after you split, the best way to deal with a split is to cleanse your life of the ex and that can ve very hard when they are in your work place or likely to be out at social gatherings with mates.
Internet dating does indeed seem to be the norm nowadays, but it really does take a lot of fun out of dating, because you already know a huge load about the person before the 1st date and it makes for a less revealing first conversation.

Anyways, cute blonde snowboarder girl are you out there?? lol

Hello all, been a while! Should've guessed this topic would still be going after all these years Wink

Still single, but asked out someone recently who is both a good friend and a colleague. I've been out with a couple of friends in the past (including the woman that got me into snowboarding), and even remained friends with them after, so not a big deal for me. However, she's quite understandably dubious. Which is a bit of a bugger as we'd be great together.

Anyway, we're going for a drink next weekend.

a couple of my female mates have met blokes on internet dating sites...they are what they are really, as a girl i'd guess you just need to open a bottle of wine and spend the evening trawling though the crap Rolling Eyes

i'd guess as dashie implied, most blokes who cant be arsed to meet a girl under traditional circumstances and/or are just looking for a quick bit of arse behind there other halves back are gona use the free sites anyway so pick one that has a premium attached to it.....

Hey Gina! Good to be back on SCUK, though feel a bit of a n00b so just popping on occasionally.

She bailed on the the drinks Sad However, I've learnt a few things about her current situation from other mates. General indication is I'm not doing too badly, but need to give her a bit of time. I think she just needs to see my in my instructor uniform... then she'll be putty in my hands Wink She wants to learn sometime.
