Hi, my new boots creak like an old pirate ship.

The left especially. Right not so much. Tbh, out on the snow abroad i wouldnt really care... However, ill give them a go in castleford in a couple of weeks to see how they are on a board. I dont want the chaps down there to think the building is falling down as i walk by.

Are there any trade tricks to know here that wont damage the boot.

Thirty two lashed by the way so im sure some of you know what im talking about.

Ian

Thirty two boots all seem to do it. Mine don't creak as much as they did when new. Just keep wearing them and they will stop doing it after a while.

All my boots have creaked and squeaked. They do seem to get better with use but have never been silent.

Given the pressure you put through your boots they're bound to move a bit and it's no surprise if they make a few noises as the various bits rub against each other. My Salomons are similar and have also quietened down as they've broken in.

If your board doesn't squeek when you move off on soft packed snow then yes, you are deaf.

Surely everyone means "squeaky" as opposed to "squeeky"?!
