Went to birmingham on friday and on way home i stopped at tamworth!! Wow it looked awsum!!
I didnt have my board with me so used a hired board an had an hour on the slope!!
I came down the slope avoided some skiers on lessons but then hit a small jump,, caught the board edge and before i could put my hands out i face planted the snow!! It was more like ice!! Got a pain in my ribs but had a wicked time!!
Im thinkin of having more lessons at castleford!! I want to learn how to ride switch and brush up on what i know, anyone recommend lessons or would u just keep tryin new things without tuition?
The snow at tamworth seemed more like sheet ice!! Prefer the snow at castleford but loved the layout at tamworth!! Good times!! |

But seriously if you had lessons to ride regular and your technique is good switch is just that again facing the other direction. Although it can help to have someone tell you what your doing wrong. Switch will also point out/exaggerate any errors in your normal riding.... |

Cheers
looking forward to my nxt trip to castleford, i tried some switch ridein last time i was there to, feels good on my own board. The hired board was stiff and not very forgiving, ( burton cruiser ) maybe a lesson or two wouldnt be a bad idea so i know im gettin it right and not gettin into bad habbits. |

Hey! I was there all day Friday also! I was the one with grey hoody, baggy yellow trousers, bataleon fun.kink with the blue and yellow bindings lol.
I know what you mean with the ice! Quite harsh conditions! Didn't help that it was mega busy as well! Conditions got a little better after the break, loosened up!
The kicker was strangely shaped I thought for a change, had no like upper lip to if you get me? Haha |
