Good slashes always have to be backside, they look more stylish and throw up more snow. The point of a slash is to ride past someone and kick up snow at them then carry on riding, riding up behind them and going into a heel edge toe slide and stopping just by them isnt a slash, its also bloody dangerous.
Ride past your victim, kick out your back leg for a second, preferably with your rear hand down touching the snow and your front hand pointing up in the air Saturday Night Fever style then pull the tail back and keep riding. |

I always do a toe side turn and lean right over and push my back leg out such as the photo.
Also who ever you do it to make sure they are not as fast as you as they will get you back. |

Watch Marc frank Montoya on you tube.
I'm a big fan of blasting at people, get nice and low and grab your high back of your back foot counter rotate your body. Slash |

Yeah I do what Lez does. Although in Jan I was doing that all round the mountain. This one time I went in for the spray (not at anyone just to kick up a spray) I sprayed up some snow went to ride it out and caught my heel edge. Subsequently went flying backwards and wacked my head. I wasn't wearing a helmet. How I didn't concuss myself I don't know... Pretty special...
A lot of fun when done right though . |

| Just wait, let the blader set off, gravity and physics will take care of a blader getting covered in snow |

Praise Science!
She'll be a sitting duck! And the emergency turn would be a good excuse for the 6ft wall of powder doom. |

I'm more a fan of the heel slash. More because I have more control. A friend of mine almost had his ribs broken by some learner trying this...
Play safe kids. |

| Yeah you do see some holiday vids with people flying at each other wildly out of control. |
